When I think back to my life, I have not been on life-threatening situation. I just have felt scary about my security. Once, 3 years ago, I was at my home. Then somebody, suddenly, tried to open the door. After a giving a strong pulling, he was gone. I was so horrified that I could not do anything. Fortunately, the door was locked. By the way, as typing this blogging, I think I always have had small things to fear. For example, I don’t like the mirror on door, which is used for checking visitors though. Because, whenever I passed by the door, I felt like a ghost kept staring at me, I blinded it for ghost not to look at me. I am sound like a freak, but I am scary. Frankly speaking, when I was 8 years old, I thought somebody can shoot me behind. To avoid that kind of potential attack, I used to walk zigzag on the street. I don’t do this weird motion anymore, but sometimes I still imagine situations horrific and impossible in reality. I think I feel scary usually in my imagination; on the other hand, that It’s kind of fun as well.

I am NOT picky at all.
Since I was very young, I haven’t been picky. Everything is my favorite, yummy food. Only except a “hongtak”. That is a traditional food from south coast of Korea. It is made of a fish called a skate or a ray. It is made by being fermented in a pot which is full of salt for about a week. To saying easily, it gets rotten in a pot. When it is done, it smells stink like scent of ammonia. Although I like seafood, I can’t stand that. The fermented skate is a famous food in Korea, but not all of Korean love to eat that. My father and my brother like that food, but most of my friends hate that food. Except that food, I can it all kinds of food. To sum up, I am not picky about food though my Skype ID is “pickybear”. J
I have eaten fried frog within its eggs, wild bird, a kind of shell that has soup inside like human blood, fried grasshopper and crayfish. Someone might think a few ingredients of food among I ate are a little bit disgusting, imagining when they are alive. On the other hand, in my opinion, there is no difference eating meat such as chicken, fork or beef. Isn’t it more gross eating meat than eating bug or seafood? They even have some human parts like eyeballs, muscles, organs, and etc. Oops, if I say more, then I might be a vegetarian! Anyway, there are a few cultures that eating what we feel gross when we see is considered natural behavior as well. Human being doesn’t die by eating things like that! I am happy to having lots of ingredients for food in world.

My dream job
My dream has been changed a few times. When I was an elementary school student, I wanted to be a scientist. I think it looked just cool in little baby sight. After several years, I was sure that I would be a pharmacist. It sounded good that I can have my own office and do what I want to do while earning money. My brother also agreed my future job. He promised me to be a doctor; therefore, we would have each office on one building. It sounds little funny though, after he changed the job that he wanted to be, my desire to being a pharmacist faded away. After that, I realized I love nature.
I used to watch the National Geographic Channel. While I watched that, I accidentally thought that I can get a job related on nature especially like people who work on that TV channel company. If I become a camera man making a film of nature, then I could stay long time in mountain or forest where animals that I love so much live. I know it is very physically hard job, thus I am just thinking about having the occupation. Even though I don’t become a camerawoman, I hope to be a person who help the earth survive in this situation that almost countries are industrialized. As you know, my major is business management. Besides, a society has deep relationship between economy and environment. I might be able to be an entrepreneur having a company that endeavors at keeping environment clean. Ok, that's my dream job now.

About Me
Hi! My name is Hyekyeong Sung. I know it's very hard for non-Korean to pronounce my name, so I made my English name. As the title of my blog, you can call me Lucy. I was born in Korea, my language is Korean. I live in Daejeon, which is below the capital of Korea. I have not left my home country before I came to United States three weeks ago. Though I am supposed to live here for just one semester, I am so excited.
There are four members in my family, my parents and an older brother. My parents really love me, so they always worry about me if I can adjust the American culture; however, I love this culture. I haven't felt difficult on it. Maybe I can survive anywhere. Anyway, my father is supervisor of construction. He lives in another city, Incheon, for his job. My mother works in real estate field. My brother is a college student. We are same university students. I have chatted with my family lives in Korea on online once a week. It's very pleasant time to know they live well in Korea.
I love to travel; therefore, I'd like to go to Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Long Beach, and etc. In addition, I want to go to national park such as Yellow Stone and Grand Canon because I feel cozy with nature. As a member of United Nations Environment Program, I am interested in nature. Before I came to USA, I thought environment of America was ruined by development, and vehicles. But it isn't. I was surprised that there are big streets and a number of cars though, I could see green everywhere. I don't know I am wrong, but I think I can know after traveling a lot. I want to know about America a more!
